About Diane

I left my comfortable and stable job in Singapore in 2007 to embark on a year of travel.  As like most people, I pondered over the absurd idea for a year before deciding that its time and its now or never.

In order to justify the move, I gave myself the excuse that it will be my 30th birthday present to myself.  I never look back and I’m still celebrating and looking forward to the new challenges and incredible experiences that I’ll never have if I’m still living in my country.

I studied and worked in the travel industry for 6 years and had been to most parts of Asia, some European countries, Australia and New Zealand for leisure.

Through travelling, I realised that I love cooking especially cooking for people.  Its a time we share recipes, enjoy the flavours and sink into each culture.  My mum is a fantastic cook hence I believe I picked up some great tips from her over the years.

I started salsa dancing in 2004 and only realised its true social power when i started travelling and going to salsa clubs in whichever city I go to.

With this blog, I will share my discoveries, recipes and salsa experience with everyone and feel free to give me your opinions about anything.  We are continually learning to be human beings and the best way is to learn from one another!

Enjoy reading and thank you for reading! 🙂
